Lesson 5 Juxtaposition



Juxtaposition means positioning any subject side by side particularly when two contrasting or opposing elements are used to draw similarities or differences between the subjects. One of juxtaposition is metaphor & similes.

Metaphor & Similes

Metaphor is when you use a statement that constructs analogy between two subjects or ideas. Example :


"I am a rainbow"


Similes is a statement that indirectly compares two different subject using words such as "like", "as", or "than".Example:


"As pretty as an Angel."
